Easter was so much fun! Having a little one adds so much joy and excitement to the holidays. In the morning we slept in and relaxed. Then we had a breakfast of brightly colored pancakes.
After breakfast we all got ready and Charlie laid down for his morning nap. While he was asleep I set up the Easter things.
When Charlie woke up we brought him out into the living room. He was pretty confused as he walked out and saw all the Easter eggs on the ground.
After he had just looked between the eggs, his Easter basket and us he finally walked over and picked up an Easter egg. Of course like everything else he put it right in his mouth. After a few he accidentally opened one and found that inside was his favorite treats, puffs.
Then Charlie found his Easter basket and started pulling everything out of it.
Charlie liked the kazoo he got - sadly they didn't work :( - but he didn't mind.
Charlie's favorite thing he got was these funny glasses. He just laughed and laughed when Daniel put them on.
Then we went to Church. The program at church was really nice and there were many beautiful musical numbers. These days at church the majority of the time one of us in the hall with Charlie. This week at church Charlie discovered the metal chairs in the classrooms. He'd look in the door and check if the chairs were metal or wood and if they were wood he'd walk right by but if they were metal he would walk in and band on the metal chairs.
After church we had a dinner of fish and unleavened bread. It was neat to think that we were eating what Jesus would have eaten. I think we will have this as a tradition for each Easter.
Overall the best part of the day was just watching Charlie's reactions to the new experiences.
